What is an End-of-Life Doula?
An End of Life Doula sometimes called a Death Doula or Thanadoula is a non-medical person trained to care for someone holistically, taking into account emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical needs. End of Life Doulas support people during the end-of-life process, much like a midwife or birth doula supports the birthing process. An End of Life Doula can help "bridge the gap" of support often missing in our current healthcare system.
Mission & Vision
Our mission is to utilize discussion, empowerment, and support for individuals and families to create a sense of comfort and peace during the end-of-life process. Support can take the shape of an advocate, an educator, guidance, education, comfort measures, companionship, and/or logistics while honoring the client’s goals and wishes with compassionate services.
Support is determined through and in consultation with the client and their loved ones.
