An End of Life Doula (sometimes called a Death Doula), has been trained to provide personalized, non-medical support to the dying and their loved ones; Gentle support and guidance through the process of decline, death, and the grief experienced throughout.
An End of Life Doula can support any number of tasks as determined through and in consultation with the client and loved ones. Support can take the shape of an advocate, an educator, guidance, information sharing, comfort measures, companionship, and/or logistical support.
Support is always non-judgmentally, family-centric, and holistic.
The goal of an End of Life Doula is to support and raise the quality of end-of-life care.
